Yaxham Women's Institute

We have again had interesting meetings over the last four months. In January Bill Sibley gave us some very useful tips and information in his talk ‘First Aid’. February was our social meeting with quiz, chat and homemade refreshments. In March we learned of the history of smocking by Heather Flint who had brought a number of examples of her excellent needlework. In April we greeted a member’s daughter and her husband, who showed slides of their two year stay in Guyana. A presentation was made to a member who had celebrated her Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Our programme for 2011 is displayed on the notice boards in the Village Hall and behind the village sign.
