Friends of Yaxham School

We are the PTA for the school - come and meet us at our events. We run many events and the "200 Club". All the money raised will go towards additional activities and equipment for the children during the year, such as theatre trips and the annual Christmas Party. This year we are actively raising funds for the school's new lo-cabin "ELF" to get this built and to furnish it. We will have helped significantly towards a project that will in the end have cost almost £110,000!

Our annual fete theme always has a "scarecrow" theme. Last year was "Celebrities" and this year it is "Occupations". The display runs for a week from Saturday 17 September, finishing with our Autumn Fair on Saturday 24 September, 12-3pm. Last year the village really got behind the event once again and created some super celebrities. Congratulations to everyone for the amount raised despite the weather! Over £1,200 on the day - and Friends' Vice-Chairman Kerry Neale raised an additional over £600 with her sponsored slim, losing 2 stone 10lbs! Well done to Kerry and all who put on and attended the fair - and to our sponsors. Put this in your diary for this year!
